LAPTOPS FOR STUDENTS Supporting The Collegiate Students of Our Community 8th Year of Laptops 2019 is our
8th year of providing laptops for graduating
Osceola students who are going on to collage or technical school. Our vision is to provide a tablet for every
graduating senior who is continuing their education through college courses, to date over 100 students have received laptops through this program!
Community Support
With the community's support, the Chamber will purchase a
Lenovo IdeaPad 130S Laptops for each qualifying student. The
number of laptops that will be given will vary depending on the support we receive. For example, if the cost for ten laptops is sponsored, only
ten laptops will be awarded. We have had incredible support for this program throughout the years and every student who has applied for a
laptop has received one!
How a Student Qualifies
Students may apply for a laptop by filling out an application and completing an essay explaining why the laptop program benefits them as a
student; in addition to how they plan to utilize this benefit for continuing their education in the field of their choice. To determine who is
awarded a laptop, the applications and essays will be judged on the most thorough and well-organized responses and those who were able to explore how
technology will be an asset to their education. An applicant’s income and their family’s income will not be asked or reviewed.
Please note: if we do not receive a students application in time you will NOT be eligible for a laptop.
As a Sponsor you Can Benefit By
We would like to take this opportunity to ask that you consider becoming a sponsor either through your business or personally. Sponsorship
donations will be gathered and the laptops will be purchased and will be distributed throughout the summer as their school schedules become available.
The recipients will be responsible for picking up their laptop when they are able to show proof of their college course enrollment.
